BluPrint Home Loans' Art Aguilar Named a 2025 Top 50 Texas Loan Officer
BluPrint Home Loans is proud to share that our Division SVP, Art Aguilar, has been named one of the Top 50 Texas Loan Officers for 2025 by the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association (TMBA). Art will be formally recognized this fall, with Houston-area honorees celebrated at the Houston Mortgage Bankers Association's Oktoberfest event.
It's a statewide honor, but for this office, it's personal. Art has spent his career building a business, and a team, around one idea: that home lending should feel like it's being handled by someone who actually lives in your market and picks up the phone.
What the Top 50 recognition means
TMBA's Top 50 list recognizes loan officers across Texas for production, client outcomes, and standing in their local market, a statewide spotlight on the originators who are actually moving the needle for Texas homebuyers.
For BluPrint Home Loans, it's another data point in a pattern we see across our branches: originators who join a platform built for autonomy and support tend to outperform, and get recognized for it.
The approach behind the award
Art's philosophy is simple, and it's one he's built his whole team around: know your market, be honest about timelines and rates, and stay reachable. Based in Kingwood and serving the greater Houston area, his team has built a reputation for closing on tight timelines and finding creative solutions on files other lenders pass on- from first-time buyers to move-up purchases on acreage properties outside the city.
That client-first approach is exactly what BluPrint is built to support: in-house underwriting, a wide product menu, and marketing and operational backing that let originators spend their time with clients and referral partners instead of chasing paperwork.
Why loan officers are joining BluPrint Home Loans
Recognitions like Art's don't happen in a vacuum — they happen because of the platform behind them. If you're a Texas loan officer wondering what that platform looks like day to day, here's what our team would tell you:
Local decision-making, national resources. As a division of NFM Lending, BluPrint combines a nimble branch culture with the product breadth, pricing, and operational support of a national lender.
Leadership that originates too. Art isn't a name on an org chart — he's still in the market, on files, with clients. Joining his team means working alongside someone who understands what you're up against, because he's up against it too.
Room to grow. Whether you're an established producer looking for better tools or a newer LO looking for real mentorship, BluPrint is actively building out our team.
A culture built on being reachable. Fast turn times, responsive support staff, and a branch that treats referral partners and clients like long-term relationships, not transactions.
If you're a licensed loan officer in Texas, or considering getting licensed, and you're evaluating what your next branch should look like, this is a good time to have that conversation.
